We are proud to host our second hybrid Annual General Meeting—another opportunity to stay connected, informed, and engaged with our members, both near and far.
Last year’s first-ever hybrid AGM was a great success. Members from across Vancouver Island and other parts of BC joined us—over 150 members in total—proving once again that when we come together, whether virtually or in person, we are LDCU Strong.
Over the past four years, we’ve embraced virtual meetings, allowing more members to attend and stay informed. The hybrid format takes that success a step further by offering the flexibility to join us however works best for you.
So—what is a hybrid AGM? It combines in-person attendance with the convenience of virtual access, helping us connect with as many members as possible while staying true to our values of accessibility, community, and inclusion.
As we move into our second hybrid AGM, we encourage all members to read the details below to help make your experience smooth and successful.
Please note: If you're attending in person at the Multi-Purpose Room at the High School, do not register online. As with past in-person AGMs, you’ll simply register at the door.
If you are attending in-person you will be registered at the door; do not register online.
Online registration opens April 9th, 2025 and closes at 4:00 pm on May 5th, 2025 to allow staff to verify membership information for online voting privileges ahead of the AGM.
Members who wish to participate (vote, pose questions, etc.) are required to register NO LATER than 4:00 pm (Pacific Time) on May 5th, 2025.
Registration is by unique email address, therefore, once an email address has been used to register, it cannot be used again.
Multiple individuals under a household using one registered email address will only count as a single member as part of the quorum and therefore, a single vote (a secondary registrant will be required to create their own email account and register separately).
